Dr. Bruce Friedman

Meet Our Founder, Dr. Bruce Frieman

Bruce Frieman is a licensed osteopathic physician, receiving his degree in osteopathic medicine in 1984. In the late 1980s, Dr. Frieman partnered with Humana, owning and operating medical clinics and pharmacies throughout Tampa Bay.

In the 1990s, Dr. Frieman affiliated with Physicians Healthcare Plans, assisting with contracting, network development and medical management during the formative years of that entity. Dr. Frieman served as Chief Medical officer and Chief Operating Officer of JSA Healthcare, the largest MSO provider in the Tampa Bay market. Dr. Frieman also served as Associate Medical Director of One Health Plan, contributing to their NCQA accreditation process.

In 2003, Dr. Frieman was one of the initial founders of Citrus Health Care HMO. In 2007, he was credentialed by AAAHC as a surveyor and has conducted surveys on HMOs, ambulatory surgery centers and physician practices.

Outside the healthcare arena, Dr. Frieman is a licensed real estate broker and licensed mortgage loan originator (MLO) in the state of Florida, specializing in real estate entitlement and development.

Dr. Frieman was one of the founders of First Citrus Bank, a five branch community banking system headquartered in the Tampa Bay market. Dr. Frieman is also involved in youth fitness programs and radio broadcasting.
